Time for a return to April 2015. We've been given the go-ahead by Marie-Claude.
Mes photos préférées. My favourite photos
L'explosion du printemps, j'adore ! I love this feeling of spring bursting out.
Le cerisier en fleurs. Cherryblossom.
Two mosaics where tulips are in the limelight ....
.....and tree blossom mingles with euphorbia and alpine clematis.
My lovely combinations feature aubrietia and iberis
Tulips Queen of Night and honesty.
A discovery of April 2015 : the plant fair at St Jean de Beauregard. Loved it !
It was also an opportunity to meet many seedlovers.
A disappointment : finding out that the pond had a leak. No photos !
DIY : mending the leak. Very few photos. The beginning of the repairs with the vacuum cleaner used to pump out the water. Not a very pretty scene !
For the bouquet here is a cloud of daffodils putting some sunshine into the garden !
A bientôt
Bye for now

This is the story of a hosepipe aspiring to be a star. It all started in October with the hosepipe basking in the sun.
Malgré les travaux, il joue "l'incruste". There was no way it was going to budge even after the digging started.
Staying in the limelight was the hosepipe's sole concern and in order to do so it performed all sorts of squirlygigs.
Fortunately Happy Api was able to give a helping hand when the gardener's back seized up. But the hosepipe still had no intention of leaving the stage, it just slid over to the side as naturally as possible.
Planting time came and with it a merry mess .....which suited the hosepipe down to the ground.
On progresse, on progresse ...
The new border today. Notice that the fallen leaves have all been raked up and even the hosepipe has left the scene. We're getting there ....
A general view of the garden with the new border, taken from an upstairs window.
Planting has been suspended but will start again in the spring. For the moment there are five rosebushes and a few shrubs.
Et le nom de ce nouveau massif ? Le Massif "Du Tuyau", pardi !
Nearly forgot ...the name of this new border is The Hosepipe Border. What else ?
As the christening has not yet taken place, if you have any better ideas for a name, do let me know !
A bientôt
Bye for now

Marie-Claude l'a dit !
Marie-Claude has launched the retrospective of March 2015.
At that time of the year the garden was still looking pretty bare.
Je commence par ma proto préférée. Here's my favourite photo.
Flowers were still few and far between but there were plenty of bees completely smitten with the garden crocuses and an impressive quantity of frogspawn. Here they are in the first mosaic.
In this 2nd mosaic you can see a display of other garden flowers.
Happy Api exhibited his artists' hives for the first time at the Salon Tendance Nature in Rheims.
And here is the man himself, so happy to be there !
I don't remember any particular disappointment in March so I'll skip that one and show you my favourite combination. I love the way the daffodils seem to be protecting the primroses.
Finally we're asked to show any changes to the garden layout or DIY. Here is the end of the garden border as it was in March, still a long way from the grand flourishing plans I had for it !
A bientôt
Bye for now
