Le weekend dernier a eu lieu le Salon Tendance Nature à Reims. Happy Api a participé à cette grande manifestation avec son projet 'Ruches d'artistes". C'est un projet d'exposition avec une vingtaine d'artistes qui a pour but de sensibiliser et retenir l'attention du public sur l'importance des pollinisateurs et en particulier des abeilles, et sur les dangers qui les menacent (pesticides, biodiversité, réchauffement, maladies, prédateurs ...).

Last weekend the Jolly Beekeeper participated in the Salon Tendance Nature at Reims with his hives painted by local artists. The aim of this project is to raise awareness and attract attention to the importance of pollinators, particularly bees, and all that endangers them (pesticides, climate change, disease, predators)

Après les évènements du 7 janvier Happy Api a lancé l'idée d'une ruche collective pour rendre hommage aux victimes et aux valeurs qu'ils défendaient. Chaque artiste a peint un panneau de la ruche. La Ruche Charlie est née.

After the tragic assaults in Paris on January 7th the Jolly Beekeeper launched the idea of a collective hive to pay homage to the victims and the values they were defending. Each artist painted one panel of the hive. The Charlie Hive was born.

Cette anémone pulsatilla, déjà étincelante, est prête à  fleurir pour fêter l'arrivée du printemps.

This anemone pulsatilla, aleady full of sparkle  before blooming, is about to burst into flower to celebrate the coming of spring.

Ravissante, n'est-ce pas ?

Delightful, isn't it !

Quelle joie dans le jardin hier ! Les beaux crocus et leurs amies les abeilles ! Que du bonheur pour eux et puis évidemment pour Happy Api qui n'en pouvait plus de voir ses petites ouvrières butiner à coeur joie. Certains des pollinisateurs n'étaient pas ses abeilles : Magical Garden accueille tout le monde !

Magical Garden was a scene of pure happiness yesterday. The jolly beekeeper was beside himself with joy at the sight of the crocuses in full bloom being visited by his hardworking bees. Some of the pollinators were not his bees : Magical Garden welcomes everybody !

Les grenouilles, elles aussi,  ont été très actives.

The frogs have been just as busy as the bees.

Magical Garden est toujours un peu nu en ce moment. Toutefois quelques fleurs commencent à apparaître.

Magical Garden is still looking a bit bare but a few flowers are beginning to show.

Les hellébores ne sont pas commodes à photographier. Il faut faire de sacrées acrobaties pour prendre une photo de la fleur qui est toujours tête en bas.

First of all some hellebores where you need to be an acrobat if you want to take a photo of the downward-facing flower.

Les premières primevères. First primroses.

Les premiers crocus, sur le point de fleurir. First crocuses about to open.

Les jonquilles, pas encore en fleurs. Daffodils not yet in flower.
